Celebrating New Beginnings for First Commerce Credit Union

VALDOSTA, GA – Exciting celebrations were underway last week as First Commerce Credit Union hosted a Groundbreaking Ceremony on February 24, 2017. The launch of construction was held at 1830 Inner Perimeter Road, where representatives broke ground with shovels next to “Open Soon” signage.

“In looking for a community to expand our presence in South Georgia, we were seeking a regional hub that demonstrated economic diversity and vitality — and after extensive research, Valdosta seemed like the perfect fit! Last fall, we were excited to open our first financial center by the Valdosta Mall, and after having the opportunity to see the potential of the community firsthand, we are already breaking ground on our second financial center on Inner Perimeter,” said Kristin Richardson, of First Commerce Credit Union.

First Commerce Credit Union has been a member of the Chamber since its Valdosta opening in the summer of 2016. Richardson says they are “grateful to the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber for extending such a warm welcome since the day they learned we were expanding into the market. We were quickly impressed by their service and organization, and we look forward to working together for many years to help the local economy and community thrive!”  The Chamber was proud to announce First Commerce Credit Union as this year’s Young Professional of the Year Award sponsor at the Chamber Annual Awards, and looks forward to working more with the company through the years.

As Valdosta-Lowndes County continues to prosper, we are more than excited to welcome a new business to the community. Be sure to look out for First Commerce Credit Union at 1830 Inner Perimeter Road coming soon.
